History

The "Algatec Solarwerke" was founded with a production capacity of 15 MW in the year 2005.
Hereby the entrance began into the photovoltaics industry as a producer of solar modules.

In 2008 "Algatec Solarwerke" was restructured in the "ALGATEC Solar AG", which is until today one of the last successful module manufacturer with “Made in Germany”.
With opening of the production location in Grossraeschen the ALGATEC increased their capacity on 60 MW in 2009.
Starting from 2010 the ultramodern setup in Grossraeschen with a lot of automated production steps could increase the capacity up to 120 MW, so that the ALGATEC Solar AG created also an international name - with opening successful sales offices in Holland, Italy and Greece.
The acquisition of the certificates for ALGATEC's modules by "British board of Agrément" and "CSA International" was the starting signal for the export to England, Wales and Canada.
The subsidiary AlgatecItalia s.r.l. was recently founded. In January 2012 it opened a sales office in Umbria (Italy) helping to distribute our products. Due to good access to major highways, our customers can now expect faster deliveries and lower delivery costs.
